I googled knit sock flat and this was the first result. I’m now trying it as knitted for her foot since mine is likely about the same size. I’m using some WW yarn that I frogged from something else. It’s a nice pale yellow and should make a comfy pair of socks.
The only change I’ll make to the pattern is to do short rows at the heel and toe. That will give me less seaming, as it will make a complete heel and toe. Then all I will have to seam are the two side seams on leg and foot. And for that I’m debating using a crochet hook and slip-stitching it together from the outside. We’ll see. I’ll keep updated on how it’s going. So far, it’s looking like a pretty quick knit with the WW yarn and size 8 needles.
